George Clooney
Though George Clooney is often portrayed as an “international playboy,” he is in fact one of Hollywood’s most dedicated humanitarians. He has contributed to numerous charities aimed at fighting homelessness, alleviating hunger, and supporting disaster relief efforts. His greatest commitment, however, lies in protecting vulnerable populations from violence and injustice. Along with Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle, Jerry Weintraub, and Matt Damon, he co-founded Not On Our Watch, an organization dedicated to delivering lifesaving aid and protection to those who are marginalized or displaced. Clooney has been instrumental in bringing global attention to human rights abuses in regions such as Sudan, South Sudan, Congo, Somalia, and territories impacted by the Lord’s Resistance Army. Beyond this, he also gives generously of both his time and resources to organizations including Feeding America, Save the Children, and Stand Up To Cancer.
